Granny Hoot welcomes the little ones to a sunny morning in Hootenhollow and tells today's story, A Swing for Wobble. Tamkin loves the big swing, and Lila cheerfully waits for her turn. Little Wobble wants to swing too, but when he jumps and stretches under the big swing, the seat is far too high. "Too big...," he says sadly. Fenna says she can build a small swing just for him.

Her first try is a leaf swing, but the floppy leaf folds up around Wobble like a sandwich. Bimble says a seat must be strong, so they hang a pumpkin seat, but its thin strings stretch and the heavy pumpkin sinks onto the moss. Fenna stomps, sits down and says, "I give up." Lila sits beside her, and together they take a big breath, in and out. Wobble puffs up and blows out too, and Fenna feels better.

Then Fenna thinks: she needs something strong but light. Wobble spots an empty twig nest in the oak branches, and Fenna cheers. With moss from Tamkin and twigs from Bimble, Fenna and Lila weave a cozy nest swing, and Wobble swings with a happy "Wheee!" Fenna says the third try worked. Fenna and Wobble sing Big Breath, Try Again! Little ones can learn that when something doesn't work, they can take a deep breath and try again a new way.
