Read-aloud story
Kapi the big capybara stood on the soft moss by the warm pond, a tangerine on his head. Tiny Hop, the little blue frog, looked up at him. Kapi gave a long, slow stretch and a huge yawn. Hop stretched his arms high and gave a squeaky little yawn too.
Flump! Kapi lay down for a nap. Pat! Hop sat down and squeezed his eyes shut. But his toes were already tap, tap, tapping. Hop just could not sit still! He patted Kapi's big nose and pointed at himself. Now Kapi must copy him!
Hop puffed out his cheeks. Kapi puffed out his big cheeks too, and what a funny face! Hop plopped down laughing. Then Hop did one big springy boing.
Kapi crouched. He wiggled his round bottom. Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle! He pushed with all his might, but his paws stayed on the moss. Only his tummy jiggled. Hop giggled. Kapi tried again, and his front paws lifted just a little. Thump! The tangerine wobbled.
Then Hop crouched right beside Kapi, and they wiggled together. Kapi gave a mighty wiggle. Plop! He peeked down, and his eyes went wide. Then he smiled a huge, proud smile. Hop cheered and hugged Kapi's nose, and both of them sighed happily.
